The whole season ( just listened to episode 9)

I love this podcast!! We have been driving most weekends 7 hours to and from to see our daughter play college soccer this fall and this podcast has been so entertaining to listen to on the way ! Also- Marissa - I too believe that ice cream and homemade chocolate chip cookies are the only desserts worth eating !!! Can’t wait for the season 2 podcast to come out !

Cracking Good Podcast, Mates!

Okay - that’s it for me and Brit-slang… I’m a big fan of podcasts as go-withs to my favorite shows, and I love that this has become a trend. The downside is that you often get random people laughing and/or fangirling/fanboying instead of doing their homework and actually analyzing the show. (I need NO help with the fangirling, trust!) Perhaps you wouldn’t expect to hear about Walt Whitman and Vivaldi on a podcast about a comedy soccer show, but it makes perfect sense in this podcast. I’m so happy “Richmond Til We Die” exists - if you enjoy the show, you will LOVE this thoughtful podcast. Also, it makes the wait for the next episode pass a little more quickly. I hope they become the dominant Ted Lasso podcast, and start getting even more access to exclusive cast/crew interviews. I can only imagine how great they’d be! Thanks, RTWD team, and keep up the great work!

I’ve tried all of them, RTWD is the best

As an obsessed fan of TL, I’ve given at least a dozen podcasts a try, and RTWD is objectively, measurably, demonstrably the best. Too many people apparently just wanted to grab eyeballs and hitch their wagon to the TL train, without having anything really to contribute. But the hosts of RTWD bring both a perspective and personal expertise to their discussions. Where most of the fan pods spend their time reliving great moments in a clinical, blow-by-blow, chronological manner, RTWD takes you on a ride through the show’s EQ, backstories, connection to our lives, and hidden meanings behind jokes that sounded simple the first time we heard them. In a Ted Lasso-style self-referential closing, I’ll just say, I’m RTWD Til I Die.

I am picky about podcasts & love this one!

I start so many podcasts and about 80% of the time I have to give up. But being a massive Ted Lasso fan I really need something to get me from Thursday to Thursday so figured I would give this one a shot. No regrets. Be curious, not judgmental and give it a listen. - Mercedes Rose

Best of the Lasso pods

Three fabulous hosts with great chemistry go deep on Ted Lasso. They look at the music, the barbecue sauce, the footie, and the philosophy of the show. Co-host Marisa also happens to be a vocal coach/music professor and brings professional analysis of Hannah Waddingham’s pipes. This pod makes you laugh and makes you think. Hard to ask for more. Oh, and Marina’s giggle is simply delightful.

Awesome podcast!

This is so much fun to listen to as I rewatch the series! Makes me want to watch it yet again!!!!

Love the intrigue

Thanks Richmond till we die. Now I have another excuse to go watch all the episodes again. It’s fun to hear how much you missed.

More Ted Lasso - yay!

My friends and family are sick of hearing me talk about Ted Lasso, and we are all grateful I found this podcast (late, I know, but still). Amazing, insightful, varied commentary on a show I love. Fantastic podcast all around!

Smart, funny, knowledgeable

The expertise among the three hosts contributes so much to their podcast, and beyond that to Ted Lasso as we rewatch. Great recaps and insight. I won’t name names, but another podcaster on another show had to look up Totenham Hotspurs to make sure it was a real thing ;) Like these podcasters, our family is made of both fans of soccer and musical theatre. Would it be heretical to say that football AND music are life?

Long time listener, first time reviewer.

After binging the first season on Ted Lasso, I felt lonely and needed some brilliant, insightful, hilarious and empathic friends with whom to talk about the show in depth and gory detail. Since I don’t have any of those, I was so thrilled to find Marisa, Christian and Brett on this podcast. Thank you!

Excellent show!

My favorite of the Ted Lasso podcasts. Terrific conversation from a group of friends with a great rapport. Features insightful discussion about the characters and the show itself, as well as the sport, the music and the barbecue. Give this one a listen, Ted Lasso fans - you won’t be disappointed!!

Richmond rocks

Love this podcast for its insight. Have listened to a different podcast that mostly recaps TL and it’s not as good. These guys focus on the characters, the soccer, the music, Keeley, and barbecue. Keep up the good work and we can’t wait for your return and hear about what you think of season 2.

Love it

great podcast. That not only recaps the show but also analyzes it.

Richmond til we die

I love this podcast!! I now have to go back to do a re watch ( not that it is a hardship) so I can catch all the nuances and musical tie ins! Thanks for doing this podcast!

Is it meta to say this podcast about Ted Lasso is the Ted Lasso of podcasts?

I have loved listening to this podcast. I not only love Ted Lasso, but I am a composer in the midst of a career change out of being a choir director/teacher which is closely related to some of the podcast-er’s’(lol?) career. It’s comforting to hear them talk about the music in the show on top of all the poignant discussion about Ted and company. I joked to my students before our last day together that if I were to find my dream job, it would be to work on Ted Lasso in any capacity. Since that obviously isn’t happening, listening to this will work in its place, as it makes you feel like part of the family.

Highly enjoyable!

I love their takes and insightful thoughts about the characters and plots. They are great! And I just got my 3KC shirt and I love it!

Great podcast

Entertaining and informative. The cast seems to really love this show.

(Not so) Proud Boys 🤮

I was expecting the Chris Farley school of podcast discussions but was pleasantly surprised to listen to some great nuanced and insightful conversations around the themes and events throughout the show. This trio now feels like my own social support group (should we call it “Podcast Paratroopers?”). Keep up the terrific work!

Onward Greyhounds!

I really appreciate the loving and thoughtful way that the RTWD hosts approach TED LASSO, as a TV show, as an examination of character and authorship, as a cultural artifact in communication with other art, as a sports show, and as aspirational storytelling. The three hosts bring wide experience to allow us to appreciate Ted Lasso, the show, from perspectives musical, literary, religious, pop-cultural and psychological, which deepened my already considerable appreciation of the show. I eagerly anticipate each episode, and I suspect that this may well be one of the few podcasts where I’ll listen to episodes more than once.

A surprising deep dive

This podcast - give it two episodes before you decide for yourself - is a surprisingly deep dive into the layers of Ted Lasso. Each person brings something to the podcast and provides a deep dive into the plot, sport and music in each show. There is some great research and storytelling that enriches the series and provides value-added for Ted Lasso fans.

So Happy to Have Stumbled Across This Podcast!

By far the best Ted Lasso podcast I’ve found. I appreciate how in depth the three folks go on all things emotions, callbacks, BBQ, and football. The breakdown of Iverson’s practice speech was so helpful; I had understood it in a pop culture framework, but the team’s deep dive on it made it that much more interesting. I’ve recommended the podcast to many friends who are also Lasso fans and just joined the Patreon. Keep up the good work!

Lasso is life

Gotta get my lasso fix somewhere.

Exactly what I wanted

Richmond Til We Die was there for me before my friends and family caught up with Ted Lasso and I wanted to deep dive about it. Character appreciation, insights into the pop culture references, real/unlikely soccer situations and barbecue moments give me just the in-depth I was hoping for when I started listening. (How the trio didn’t squee to each other after their great interview with Jeremy Swift I will never know. So fun!)

Things the make me happy

Love the show, love the ‘conversation’. Can’t wait for next season!

Phenomenal

I love Marissa & wish I knew her IRL

Excellence!!!

This podcast is so kind, just like Keely. The team is smart, witty, and the knowlege between them is stellar. Thank you for bringing such a perspective to an already joyful show!

Be A Goldfish.

Love this superb podcast on the superb show, TED LASSO, found on Apple TV +. If you love the show, you’ll love Richmond Til We Die! These Kansans bring it every episode! The BBQ references, Music highlights, and soccer jerseys are just a few of the bonus reasons for tuning in!
